Mark your calendars!

Or whatever you all do to remember!

Dec 5 is the prospective release date for my next title, Entangled, a short story prequel to the Cursed Magic Series. Hooray! I know how hard it's been to get any sort of release date out of me lately. Still don't know when the third will be out. (See previous blog post.)

Hope everyone has a Happy Thanksgiving!

Whoa! An Announcement!

Hello all!

Many of you have been asking me about the release for the third book. Unfortunately I STILL don't know yet. I apologize and I assure you I am not doing it to be mean. I swear! It's just, due to ongoing health conditions of both me and my editor it's hard to get things done in time. Things just take a little bit longer, is all. And I like to make sure things are done right instead of just slapping it together. So please be patient! I am working on it, it'll just take a bit longer!

I know what you may be thinking, 'That wasn't an announcement?!'

But alas, I DO have an announcement! It's a side project that I have been working on. It's a sort of prequel/ sequel to the Cursed Magic Series. It takes place two years prior to the events in the first book, but I call it a sequel because, ideally, it should be read after the second book in the series to avoid any spoilers!

Check it out!

Entangled

Set two years before the events in Cursed, Entangled follows Claire as she navigates through her seemingly normal life where things are about to get a bit more difficult.

Random Blog Post

Hey all!

Just wanted to share this article I had found recently. I feel it captures what I tried to do with Claire PERFECTLY and my whole thoughts on the whole 'boy with boobs' female characters. Love her or hate her, I believe Claire is a strong female character, though many will disagree with me I'm sure.

Anyways, check it out if you have the time!

It's Not A Trilogy

First off, I would like to thank all the readers that gave my books a chance and sent me kind messages. I never thought so many people would actually read them, let alone like them!

This past month has been a little crazy! Not that that's a bad thing!

Now, onto the topic: A lot of people have been asking me when the third book comes out and if it's the last one, or many just assume that it is. I guess given the prevalence of trilogies these days, I can't really blame them. But don't fear! I won't beat a dead horse and drag it through the mud. I do have the ending in mind, it will just take me longer than three books to tell the story I want to tell.

I just started working on the third book, so it might be a little bit of a wait before it is released.

In the meantime, here is a cute picture of my cat hogging my purse to help hold you over!

Five Stages of (Writer's) Grief

Whenever I get my manuscript back from my editor-friend, I go through the five stages of grief.

Step 1- Denial: This isn't so bad, my book is pretty good. I read it and re-read it multiple times already, what could possibly be wrong with it? Pshhh! This'll be a piece of cake!

Step 2- Anger: I hate this stupid thing! Why did I think I could write anyway? Did I really use that word so many times? I'm going to burn this book! At least it would keep me warm in the winter!

Step 3- Bargaining: Next time I will be better, I swear! I will keep that thesaurus within arms reach, I can change! Please don't be like this! That's what re-writes are for, right??

Step 4- Depression: *Sobbing uncontrollably* My book sucks! It's the worst string of words put to paper since the beginning of time! Next to this, '50 Shades of Grey' looks like Shakespeare! Why did I ever think I could do this! I actually thought people might want to rest their eye sockets on this piece of garbage?

Step 5- Acceptance: Well, maybe it's not worse than 50 Shades... Perhaps it's even readable. Now that it's polished, it may actually shine in parts! Someone out there may enjoy it. There is hope after all!!
