More St Louis!

It was so cold there! At least to a Floridian. And rainy, which as a Floridian I am used to...

But, that didn't dampen (Ha!) my picture taking spirit!

Oldie but Goodie

I think I drew this all the way back in 7th or 8th grade. It's from a book cover called Maia.

The Forgotten Coast

When some people think of Florida they think of Disney, some think of Miami, others Daytona. Most however never see the other side of Florida, the quieter side. Filled with small towns and and acres of trees, The Forgotten coast certainly earns its name. There are no big theme parks, no famous beaches, just quiet little communities where houses on stilts rule supreme. You haven't really experienced seafood until you've eaten it fresh off the boats at a restaurant overlooking the water or one of the many white sanded beaches.

Places I Must Go Before I Die

Ajanta Caves, Maharashtra, India.

Seriously, look at this place:

I would have loved to have been an explorer and then run across something like this. These temples were carved into the cliff side. It's quite amazing what people are capable of doing, especially in the ancient world.

The One and Only

The original blonde bombshell. I drew this in high school, 9th grade I think. I never knew I could draw like this. Ah, the beauty of art class... But, it's been so long, I'm not sure if I can still do this, haha. Maybe if I get inspired I will try it again one of these days.

Things I Learned From Lost

So I finally finished the behemoth that is Lost. Yes it's a little late, but I'm lame so there's my excuse. It's a pretty good show, just a little tiring to watch, and as one friend put it, a little torturous as well. I missed out on a lot of sleep the first two seasons...

So, without further ado, here are the things I learned on the long arduous journey...
  • No matter how many times you get knocked out, you can still function like a normal human being and not end up in 'special class'.
  • When in a dire or curious situation, ask the least important question first.
  • Somehow they transported polar bears, construction equipment and materials, VW buses, etc. to the island on a tiny submarine, because we all know all the other types of transportation get wrecked on the island...
  • It's OK to blow up your dad.
  • It's OK to kill multiple people if you have a son.
  • Desmond is such a neat name.
  • If you lie you pretty much have to say "I Lied" out loud.
  • Pieces of land can decide your fate.
  • Don't ask questions, they only lead to more anyways.
  • Early seasons are so much better than later ones, but at least we got to see more about Desmond, one of my favorite characters.
  • Saving the world is only a button push away.
  • If you love the island so much, why don't you marry it?
  • I can be very immature.

Kid Trunks

A drawing of a young Trunks from DBZ I drew way back when. Perspective is a little wonky, but hey, I was like 14 at the time. I originally drew him on an egg we had to take care of for science class in one of those parenting/ care lessons. Unfortunately I couldn't keep it so I drew it out on paper. It lasts longer than an egg at least.

Cleaned and cropped on computer.

Vincent Valentine

You know who this guy is. One of the best optional characters in the games. Well, at least he didn't steal all my crap like Yuffie did...

Anyways, pencil on paper scanned into the computer and cleaned.

G Gundam

I've always liked the show even though it is dorky and probably not very good by most people's standards, but maybe that's part of the appeal. I like how it doesn't take itself too seriously. How can it if it's about people fighting inside giant robots?

However, I always thought that Rain was never fully appreciated. Domon seemed too immature and always threw temper tantrums. Hence this fanart I drew a long, long time ago. Ultimately I think they are cute together, just frustrating.  This drawing was one of my first sketches that I drew without using too much of a reference. Probably not the most accurate, especially the sword, but hey what does a high school girl know about swords anyways?

Drawn on boring ol' paper, scanned in and cleaned up with the fantabulous Corel Painter.

Art Work

Sometimes I forget I can do this. I haven't drawn in such a long time, it's a shame. But, I just haven't felt inspired lately, no scratch that, in a long time.

Chicago! I really liked it there, at least the part I saw. For some reason it seemed cleaner than a lot of cities I've been to, maybe the wind blows everything away? Then again, it could just be the parts I was in. Went to the Chicago MOSI, which was a fantastic museum. The one here in FL can eat its heart out!

The Sears Tower. It got renamed since the last time I was there.

The first time I came to Chicago was by train. Old fashioned, but very fun!

It's all in the details!

On top of the Sears Tower, or whatever it is called now'a days...

You can't help but get a little vertigo at this height, but it's a fantastic view!

A new feature, complete with long lines and anxiety.
